The Town Oratory was first opened in the late 1970's. Mass is celebrated each weekday at 10.00am. Eucharistic Adoration started on November 6th 1995 and takes place after the 10.00am mass until 9.00pm each evening. The Bethany Prayer Group meets in the Oratory each Wednesday evening at 9.00pm.

In March 2004, the Oratory was moved on a temporary basis to its present location, pending construction of a new purpose-built Oratory as part of the Skycourt development.
